When I first crossed paths with Techstep, I was immediately drawn into the world of Jungle. Into the world of Drum And Bass and it’s multitude of sub-genres. Techstep is one of which dominated during the rollover of the millennium with each dark soundscape and science fiction sample utilized.

The Art of Concept through Sound
Achievement of feeling and imagery through the medium of sound bears unique merit to the sense. Seeds that orchestrate interpretation can be madly defining while completely arbitrary, especially if void of lyric. This is the vibe.
Distorted Minds delivers a modest dose dubbed ‘Stone River’ accompanied by visuals from the classic animated gore-fest ‘Ninja Scroll’.
The beauty of the Amen is exploited in this tune by TC where he uses nothing but. Witness the freeform and variation of each Amen- It isn’t a wonder how far the sample has come since it’s debut.

All things change in a dynamic environment. Your effort to remain what you are is what limits you.
Hold up while I put some bread in the time machine, boys.
A tune by Hive from back in ‘98 where he begins with some raw sounding drum play between monologues from an old ‘tape demonstration of a group of experiments in Synthetic Rhythm’. It isn’t long before each additional layer of drums morphs the track into a taste of Drum and Bass.

WARNING: TEST SUBJECTS ARE NOT AWARE!
Originally I had planned on hosting an 80’s horror movie screening at the local dollar theater around Halloween time with some tricks and treats to make the experience more worthwhile. Opening the night with the HD version of this video was supposed to be the staple of the event- unfortunately at this time, the asking prices to host such a media filled event are as blood sucking as the spirit of some of your costumes. As the date creeps closer, maybe they’ll find that hosting an afterhours event for a couple hundred bucks would be more profitable than demanding nearly three-quarters of a thousand dollars and, well… piss in the wind.
Formlessness. When one is formless, deep spies cannot catch a glimpse.
